Singapore Blog Awards 2014.

I'm so so happy that I'm selected to attend Singapore Blog Awards 2014. This is my very first time attended such an event organized by Omy and I'm so happy that I could bring my fiance along with me :) so thankful that he got no work on that day~ hees ^-^

When I first arrived at scape, I was so excited because I get to see people dressing up for the event & I was amazed. Really wow-ed. The way they dressed up just like the derby fashion/ horse themed really amazed me.

Not only we get to attend the event, there are photo booth, performance, prize giving, best dress award, refreshments, temporary glitter tattoo booth & I also get to make friends there :) not forgetting the goodie bag! Really enjoyed myself last Saturday. So looking forward to next year's Singapore Blog Awards! hees~

& today, i  finally went there..hahaha!!

i was there for a food tasting session by Hee Kee & i am so so excited because it is my very first food tasting session. hees~ Actually i was there on my friend's behalf. You can read her food blog here..

Hee Kee is a new Hong Kong dessert joint open in Jurong Point mall. Hee Kee (囍记,), which also means “treasuring happiness”. Don't you feel happy when you hear 囍记? haha~

Hee Kee Desserts has created a range of traditional tong sui that boast smooth, savoury flavours like the house specialty, Traditional Steamed Milk Pudding, and a mix of refreshing and unexpected flavours like the Mango Cheong Fun that is imbued with huge chunks of fresh mangoes wrapped in springy ‘rice’ rolls made with sweet coconut. And not forgetting the king of the fruits, DURIANS..which is the favourite of  most Singaporeans..haha..

What's interesting is that the chef will go all the way to HongKong & learn the recipes and bring it back to Singapore.

The coconut ice cream is really really refreshing after a hot day outside. It also comes with coconut water which will quench your thirst straight away. *ahhh*

Homemade Beancurd with Gula Melaka ($3.30)

A simple yet fulfilling combination of silky beancurd, with gula melaka syrup for a touch of sweetness. Eat your way to a silky smooth face! yums~

Mango Cheong Fun ($3.30 per piece)

This well-balanced and healthy steamed treat is an envelope of jelly like coconut infused skin with its inside filled with a mango chunk for a sweet taste that will make you crave for more than just one serving~

I highly recommend this dish as i, myself love mango. So, yeap~ *THUMBS UP* You have to try this then you'll know what i mean..:D hahahaha~

Traditional Steamed Milk Pudding ($3.50)

Available both hot and chilled, those craving for a light yet creamy & delicious dessert can look forward to this traditional steamed milk pudding - comforting and bursting with flavor & fragrance in every bite.

This is another of my top pick as it has the egg white taste. I really love the texture and it does not feel very bloated after you eat this dessert. *Oishi*

Durian Pancake (From $3.30)

A light yet satisfying dessert – the durian pancake is a hearty combination of rich durian puree and whipped cream, wrapped in a coconut infused skin.

I am not a pure durian person. BUT, i like this durian pancake as the whipped cream makes the durian puree not so "overpowering". 4/5 stars for this :D!!

Last but not least, 

D24 Durian Sauce with Sago ($5.80)

Made to satisfy the year-round craving for fans of the King of Fruits, and an interesting twist for those of usual sago desserts. Smooth and creamy durian sauce, topped up with fresh durian flesh and a generous serving of sago for a satisfying treat.

I can say, THIS IS the dessert for those who loves durian so much that you need/must try this..haha~ but please do drink plenty of water after this :D

So many things to plan in so little time..
Just got proposed 3 months ago & we're planning for our ROM dates.
We decided to register our marriage on 16.03.2015 as 16 March was the first time we met & also we think its a hassle to have so many dates/monthsaries/anniversaries to remember. HAHA~

I'm a total noob at this & i am the first one to get married among my friends..heh -_-

I've been attending wedding road shows & all the dresses/gowns are soooooo pretty i dont know which to choose!! & all the bridal packages are so tempting.

Oh well, everyone have their first time in everything right~ haha..

So so excited to try out all the gowns..:D

For now, we have to
- Wait till Nov/Dec to get our dates registered. Then look for a Justice of Peace.
- Book for our short vacation after our rom.
- Book Pre-wedding photoshoot.
- Search for a bridal shop.
- Book for a venue for rom
- Find a catering company
- Decorations etc..

Shall stop here or it will start to get boring..haha!!

Why I love Thailand~

1. The tranquility

My mother was born & raised in Chiang Rai, Northern part of Thailand. Which is very different from city like Bangkok. Because everything is about the peacefulness of the countryside. You get to hear the roaster croak-a-doo early in the morning, see the sun rising, feel the cooling morning weather, & smell the dew of the morning air~ it's just so perfect. 

2. No need to worry about food

In Thailand, you get to eat & explore all sorts of Thai food that you won't find in Singapore or any other country. When I'm at my granny's house, my aunt will do all the cooking. So, whenever I'm there, I would tell my aunt what I want to eat & tadaa! She'll cook for me. Yea, literally she knows how to cook most of the Thai food. Yums~ & the good that she whipped are Delicioussss!! 

3. Can save money 

Perks of living in a "kampong" is you get to save your money. Because there's no mall for you to shop, even if there's weekday market aka pasa malam. The things are cheap. So you won't get to spend a lot. Unlike Bangkok. 

4. You can rot & relax all you want

In kampong, there's nothing much for you to do or play. Unless you have a wifi at home. You can do is you get to complete watching all the drama episode that you always wanted to watch. Hahaha!!

5. Trouble free

Worry-free! 

6. You won't feel lonely

Hmm..don't think so much. Hahaha!! I meant dogs~ hahaha!! My family love dogs~ so my granny house have quite a number of pups & doggies..so whenever I go back, I'll never feel lonely. Haha!! 

7. The weather

There are 4 seasons in "Kampong" Thailand unlike Singapore. I loved to go to my granny's house during autumm as the weather starts to cool. But sometimes when it hits winter, mornings can be freezing cold >_< *brrrrr* I can don't bathe for 2 days..haha~ Just kidding..

8. The provision shop

Speaking of this, whenever I go back to my granny's place. I never fail to grow fat. All because of this shop..-_- haha~ i just can't stop myself from buying those super tasty thai snacks & munch it while watching my drama series. *Best life ever*

9. Everything is cheap cheap

Living in "kampong" have low living standard. Thus, EVERYTHING is cheapppp!! haha~ sweets,chips,drinks etc..food like boat noodles etc..yums~


10. Sun & Moon comes out early.

Meaning the sky gets dark at 5pm (Sg time is 6pm) & the sun rise at 6am (Sg time 7am)
So it forces you to sleep early & you will feel refreshed the next day. :D
